Never before has there been a better opportunity to take a stab at a dream you’ve been harboring for far too long. We’ve entered the era of “niche-ville” where large, generic brands no longer rule the roost. We can attribute this shift to two things in particular. The economy, which has made small business entrepreneurs out of a growing number of laid-off/pissed-off worker-bees, and the rise of social media.
Promotion, branding, connecting and serving is no longer limited to multi-million dollar ad campaigns and manufacturing facilities. Now, it’s all about seeking out your unique audience, building your tribe and serving your peeps. Can you do this? Yes. Probably better than many big brands right now. The key to success can be summed up as
• A passion for what you do
• A unique approach to an old trick
• A work hard/take no prisoners approach to your daily grind
